Alexandria is a must-visit city for what it contains of multiple monuments from different Eras. The city of Alexandria was historically the capital of Egypt until the foundation of Fustat, Alexandria is known for its diverse history as it was occupied by several cultures throughout the years. Several monuments nowadays shape Alexandria’s historic sites. Bibliotheca Alexandrina contains about 700,000 books and holds 4 museums inside it, The Citadel of Qaitbay is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds, The Graeco-Roman Museum is an archaeological museum The museum contains several pieces dating from the Greco-Roman (Ptolemaic) era, Alexandria Nationa Museum, Royal Jewelry Museum, The Serapeum of Alexandria which was an ancient greek temple and  Lighthouse of Alexandria. Alexandria contains several gardens where you can relax and enjoy a walk in nature like Montaza Al Gardens, Al Shallalat Gardens, Antoniadis Garden and El-Nozha Garden.
